Thank God the makers of The Thing saw the light and took that away from him after seeing that SHIT ending.

I'm just glad we're all not descended from Mitochondrial John Hodgeman.

Any suggestion of boycotting Caprica gets the member banned as well.

REALLY?
Oh, this is bullshit on a massive level.
Is there documentation?

OF COURSE YOU DON'T THE WRITERS WERE PULLING HALF OF THE PLOTS OUT OF YOUR ASS AS THEY WENT ALONG gah.

It's not like every painter and sculptor goes, "this element means this particular thing, and I hope the viewer will figure it out correctly." That's usually a recipe for inferior art.
Many artists would say the viewer's interpretation is part of the process, and Ron Moore has said as much about his BSG writing.

Well, here I go beating on this drum again. But it's a problem with Moore's writing sometimes. He sometimes doesn't know where he's going so he just decides... fuck you!
I asked him a question one time about Starbuck's death and he was very annoyed, but it's the same thing. The episode with Starbuck's death added up to nothing. It was like he was just poking us in the eye. Weeee, Starbuck blew up.
I was like, WTF is up with that? What was the point?
Then in interviews he backpedaled and admitted her death meant nothing... but her return would mean something.
As to whether that panned out, I dunno, maybe. But sometimes Moore just decides to tell his loyal viewers to fuck off.

Just saying the creator/writer of the show has the say in how it ends, not us, the viewer.

At least the end of the X - files tied everything together with an explanation that made sense in context.

Whole heartily.

Last night I had a dream about an alternate BSG ending. Tyrol, Ellen, and a bunch of military guys I couldn't identify all got together and piloted the Galactica to a future Earth. There they met another fleet, in kind of a "welcome home" type of scene.
Do you guys think this is my opera house, or am I just going insane? I have been taking a lot of kamala root lately so who knows.

I like this ending much better and it could've rolled right into a great spin-off about archeologists and military people who find some ancient technology that they finally get working and it is able to make them travel across the stars meeting new races. The ship and it's faster than light travel makes it a kind of portal to new places in the sky. "Battlestar Gate" Oh... wait.

I have a picture of that in my head too, from and episode of Arrested Development.
Buster was better than Lee.

I like Garrison's image/ideas better. So there.

I never understood the anti-technology allegations.
