_The Number Of The Beast_ isn't pulp SF; pulp ended around 1949-1950, and that was published in 1980. Neither is _The Tar-Aiym Krang_, which appeared in 1972. _The Chronicles of Corum_ isn't even SF; it's fantasy. Most of the other SF novel covers that I recognize are also from 1960-1980, meaning you've got a ten-year gap at least, there.
Pulp is not just "old SF", it's "Old SF from a particular era". Like "screwball comedy", let's not dilute a perfectly valid term by using it to refer to something outside its definition.
