Two Farscape articles at io9 in one week! And has it really been ten years since Farscape first aired?! Wow. I think this calls for an entire series re-watch.

And a Dark Crystal sequel? Really? Man, I loved that movie and saw it so many times at the theatre. (Yep, I'm old.) This is exciting news.

Frell, it is nice to see Farscape on io9. Not to mention, a boxset that is remotely affordable? ftw. Finally.

@LittleDragon: I would rather see them release a DVD of The Dark Crystal restored to as close as they could get to a director's cut. The original workprint is MUCH more interesting and adult than the finished film.

Any ideas how much the box set is going to cost? Will owning Farscape on DVD finally be (reasonably) affordable?

Also, this is clearly the best TV Space Opera of all time.

I miss this series so much. I really haven't had as much fun with a space opera ever since watching both "Crackers Don't Matter" and "Revenging Angel" in one sitting.

I had the opportunity to spend some time talking to Mat McCoy (an operator for both Rygel and Pilot) here in Winnipeg on the weekend, and it made me miss Farscape all over again...

Speaking of the timeline (which O'Bannon seems to have worked out in some detail, from the sounds of it), I continue to be frustrated at the lack of a proper Farscape Timeline on the Web. :/

Oh Ben. I'm happy to see him on this list, it makes my love of him even better somehow when I know they love their job.

But also, Hewlett? Shanks? I KNOW Hewlett is a big nerd.

Also? Freema Agyeman went to a convention when she was younger dressed as Data. Please don't ask how I know this.

Isn't Steven Colbert a big ol geek as well? I remember him being into Tolkien, D&D, and a general Sci-Fi fan. He also ocassionaly does that sci-fi cartoon of himself on the Colbert Report.

Eddie Izzard is a huge Star Wars fans - he's brought that up during his stand-ups and interviews.

Edward James Olmos is more obsessive about BSG than most of the fans are.

I'd add Noel Clarke, Mickey of the new Doctor Who, a childhood fan, hanger-on for three years, and writer of an episode for "Torchwood." Surely, he'll contribute a script to the mother show one of these days...

There are a ton of actors who are super-geeks and really love franchises like Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar G., comics, video games and so on.

I've interviewed quite a few actors and celebs like Simon Pegg, Bill Hader, Jaime King, Seth Green, Milo Ventimiglia, Margaret Cho, Seth MacFarlane, Masi Oka, and more here if any of you want to read more geek love comments.

I have to admit it's rather endearing to learn that some of the coolest actors out there have a soft spot for Doctor Who action figures and Star Wars bedspreads. ;-)

Don't forget "Heroes" actor Milo Ventimiglia. Not only does he appreciate his own fans from "Heroes" but he's also very much a fan of comics (producing comics on the side too like the new title "Rest") plus he's a huge Star Wars fan, enough to the point where he has lightsaber battles with his friends in the parking garage:

Recently he had his Clone Trooper assistant help him get ready for New York Comic-Con:
