I'd agree with 10 in the can, maybe 4 max actually airing before it vanishes forever during November sweeps, replaced by some reality or game show...

Maybe they'll burn the remainder off at midnight on Saturdays, like Fox is doing with "Sit Down, Shut Up"

@I_Like_TDs: I like 13 - 14 for overall total, since that's about right for a first-part of season order...

I don't think aired will be anywhere near that high, unless they dump them in a schedule hole months away (maybe summer?).

Kind of a shame; so far this season has annoyed me a lot less than last season (although that's not saying much).

The perfect saving grace would be if the carnival turned out to be the one from Carnivale, and this turned into the third season of that :-)

Additionally, I haven't seen it covered here, but Blue Peter is holding a competition to design a TARDIS console that will be featured in an episode of the new series.

The controls need to be made out of common household objects and "look like the Doctor put it together himself," so presumably it will be used for a scene where the Doctor makes temporary repairs to the console using bits and pieces he's nicked from Amy's house, before activating the self-repair circuitry and switching to a more conventional design.

Actually, if you look closely at the photos, that is the old TARDIS.

The new one is the bright blue Harnell version we previously saw on the beach with River Song.

Obviously, the original isn't completely destroyed at the end of the final Tennant special, but it is in very bad shape.

if my name doesnt give it away already i actually like death cab for cutie and i'm very sad that they are contributing a song to this twilight tweeny crap!
now all those teenage girls will be listening to death cab and propel them into the mainstream...*sigh* it was good while it lasted

another thing to note.. this twilight song is actually the weakest song they have ever made..the band members all agreed that they have never read/watched twilight and they were given a gaol to write a song by the label etc so they just pulled the entire thing/concepts outta their assess

@death_cab_for_boobie: FFS, Death Cab For Cutie's been mainstream for YEARS. They were a big deal on "The O.C." a show beloved by teenage girls.

I haven't bought any CD's by bands that were formed in this millennium myself and even I know who they are.

at the time i was still shaping my taste in music and death cab was instrumental in that phase of my life. they are my second fav band of all time(my first being asian kung fu generation) this twilight crap wont change that, but i'm not gonna be publicly declaring my love for death cab anymore....

@van_line: um we went through this last week. House is just as much the definition of Sci Fi as the rest.

Hell most medical dramas that actually involve MEDICAL in the plot and not as just background to the characters drama (ie Greys Anatomy) could easily be classified as sci fi depending on the plausibility of the situation/solution.

@jillofalltrades: Wait! How did Metallicar get put in fifth place. The Baby is the third character in the series. They can kill any one they want but not the baby. She wasn't dead in 2014, she was just taking a bit of time to meditate on the end of the world.
I doubt they will kill the Ghostfacers. Their deaths wouldn't really carry any emotional trauma or drama. They exist for comedy.
Ellen and Jo are good candidates. But are they really fan favorites? And Cas can't die, he is still a virgin and there is no way Dean is going to let that happen.
