    The last one is the best for the protagonist in a FPS. A huge lumbering Big Daddy would have made the game into Mechwarrior.

    While I liked the earlier designs, we're supposed to be playing as the first Big Daddy ever so I figured it'd be a little different. I still find the design they're going with creepy and I agree that this sleeker version looks like it will handle much better.

    The final one is just "dude in pre-scuba gear", not very menacing.

    I think Bioshock was without question one of the best video games I have ever played. It filled me with a genuine sense of dread, and a very boisterous round of applause goes to the individual who determined the musical score for the game. Creepy and intriguing. Four stars. A+++

    My one concern is that in the first, you were just a "normal" dude and seeing a Big Daddy coming at you was legitimately stressful. Now actually being a Big Daddy feels like it might take that necessary edge off while playing. I'm sure there will still be reasons to be scared of the Big Sister, but emotionally, I'm not as compelled to be frightened of her as I was of a Big Daddy in the first.

    I want to thank you all for beginning to get a little more video game stuff on here. I know that it often gains cries of "Kotaku Much?" but as video games cement themselves more and more in the legitimate storytelling arena, and as many of them are Sci-Fi, its nice to discuss and learn about what is going on with them without having to hear moans about format wars and cel-shading.

We try not to step on Kotaku's toes, but on the other hand, video games are doing some of the most inventive interesting stuff in science fiction now, for sure. And also, we like to have cool pictures on our blog. And video games are the best source of those, bar none.

    The first bioshock left some big shoes to fill. This is looking good, but I'm trying to keep my expectations low, and I don't appreciate them releasing all of this awesomeness just to get my hopes up.

    I loved Bioshock, and cannot wait for this sequel. Also, I am usually disgusted by scifi books based off of video games (or vice versa) but I wouldn't mind reading some kind of scifi series similar or based on the universe of Bioshock.
