They should just put the Farscape writers in charge of this show.
Farscape for me was more or less the tone that a good starwars tv show should be, plus they already have plenty of experience working with prosthetics. (same prosthetics team did Farscape and star wars)

At one point the actor that played D'Argo was attached to the star wars tv show as well.

At what point in the time-line does the live-action Star Wars series take place ?
Guessing from the the article between Episode 3 and 4?

@Ett: Yes. From Lucas, that is the period the show will be set, and supposedly will not feature Jedis or any of the big characters from the movies, although that's apparently changed now that Boba is looking to get cast.

Boba better be a deep and interesting character, he was a gritty 'kick your ass' type of guy. They better make his story deep and interesting, rather than just the token bad ass.

@Bill-Lee: But he totally escapes from the Sarlacc! And teamed up with Dengar! And went on to have tons of bad ass adventures!

    er . . . this is of course all in the expanded universe . . . so I guess it's not common knowledge . . .

Boba Fett is still the coolest character in Star Wars, even though they ruined the coolest part about him: mystery. Marvel did the same thing with Wolverine.

I never understood the Fettish. He had a couple of icy lines and then got killed by someone accidentally backing into him and knocking him into the maw of Sandthulu. Basically Fett is a keystone cop in space.

@Sillius: a) Because he was considered bad ass before Jedi. (So people could reject Jedi as contrary to who they had already decided he was.)

    b) He's a bounty hunter. Even Dog is considered a little cool because he's a bounty hunter. (By some! Only by some!)

    c) He had a cool ride.

    d) Even with Jedi, he was only a keystone cop in his death, not in anything else. Icy lines and looking bad ass is a far cry from:
