You can see mecha-hero Tony Stark taking his new jet boots for a spin, and they look pretty damn spiffy. Plus you get to see him take out a tank nonchalantly with a forearm missile, and deliver a quip from his ginormous garage. It looks like he figures out how to balance out his flight with repulsors, and just check out that sleek suit of silver armor. Iron Man keeps looking better and better. Here's hoping it holds up to the hype. We also have a new gallery of stills, after the jump.

Production stills from Slashfilm.

<![CDATA[ Enhanced Firefighters Have Really Big... Boots ]]> Futuristic fire-fighting boots and a robot dog may not be the focal point of this piece of concept art, but they're definitely the most intriguing. We're not sure what these boots are supposed to do in the first place, but we know that the artist calls them "fire pumps."

Do they spray water out of the soles or give the wearer the ability to leap through flames? The robot dog with a hose for a tail is a lot more self-explanatory. He could scout ahead for hotspots and then take care of them himself with a flick of his hind end.

While we wouldn't mind living in a world populated with artist Neville Page's civil workers, we doubt that much work would get done. Everyone would probably be busy taking the day off to pose for calendars. Still, we love the attention to detail in these boots, even if neither we nor Neville know what they do. He tossed the whole piece together in a day and a half, wanting to work mainly on a pinup in some futuristic fire-fighting gear. Looks like he succeeded. Pair her up with the futuristic fire engine and you're playing with fire.

As this commercial from 1986 conclusively proves, Barbie can do anything! Especially if she's wearing hot pink kinky disco space boots.

<![CDATA[ Must See: Wonder Woman ]]> WonderWomanDVD2.jpgMust-see TV shows are futuristic classics that shouldn't be missed. Of course, not every must-see is perfect. That's why we've rated them 1-5 on the patented "crunchy goodness" scale.

Title: Wonder Woman
Date: 1975-1979

Vitals: An Amazon from an all-woman island paradise travels to America to fight Nazis — and then hops forward a few decades to fight disco.

Famous names: Lynda Carter, Lyle Waggoner, Norman Burton, Douglas S. Cramer

Crunchy goodness: 2

Spinoffs/Sequels/Copycats: Joss Whedon was supposed to write and direct a movie, but now it's stuck in development hell.

Stunt casting: Chloris Leachman as Queen Hyppolita, Wonder Woman's over-protective mother, who's worried about letting Wonder Woman visit the unhygienic outside world.

The shit: When the boogie-woogie theme music plays and Carter spins around to create a burst of light and don her spangly costume, you can't help believing in Amazons.
