So I just need to figure out a way to reduce the impedance of gray matter by a factor of 3/13. Then I could finally become smart enough to destroy all of y... I mean, solve global warming!
I could have told them we were better. You don’t see any squid out there who’ve figured out how to deep fry people and pair them with tzatziki. Mmm deep fried people . . .
So it took them seventy years to decide that perhaps a squid wasn't the closet thing to a human brain they could find? And that maybe, just maybe a mammalian mind would be a more accurate approximation of how the human brain works?
im no biologist, but doesnt it stand to reason that a brain like a squid would work faster as it only has so many imperatives? The human brain is dealing with much more complex problems than "find fishie. eat da fishy. swim xbillion". if im wrong cool, but someone explain it to me.
@GreyHammer: You may be correct, but when this article talks about efficiency, it is talking about the energy efficiency of neuron to neuron transmission, not the efficiency of the brain as a whole.
