    WHAT ARE THEY THINKING?! Yorrick is an average looking brown haired white guy in his mid 20's who always makes wise cracks yet has an undercurrent of being slightly troubled and angry who constantly irritates many of those around while others find him rather charismatic. Clearly LeBeouf can't play the part... he's in his early 20's

    I think Shia would be perfect playing Yorick, honestly. Yorick is dorky enough that Shia could get away with it.


    Also, it's a shame Alter isn't mentioned. She's an excellent character. And I absolutely loathe her.

    @Rasselas: Like it or not, American English doesn't contract words or phrases like diseases - it absorbs fads, catch phrases, grammer, buzzwords, even gorging on pieces of other languages (for example, the integration of spanglish in recent years) like some sort of writhing mass, never intent to stay in any one place or form for long.

    @ScruffytheJanitor: And yet "kick-ass," "badass" and "ass-kicking" have sunk their pseudopods deep in the body of SFF, so deep that no female character of greater importance than third ingenue can be anything but, and neckbearded nerds the world over crown every character who ever wins a fight some flavor of badass or other.


    It's like the entire Internet is becoming Harry Knowles.

    @Rasselas: while it is indisputable that harry knowles does indeed have a 'neckbeard' it is no more a word than 'kick-ass' or 'badass.' one could find it in the urban dictionary but i imagine such an act would involve selling your soul to the bitch goddess of marketing.

    @DrEmilioLizardo: my best guess, and this is merely conjecture, is that caruso, armed with the knowledge that every trillogy must contain a shitty film and that the third instalment is most often the most shite, is trying to slowly kill shia's career with a piss poor sequel to a piss poor adaptation.


    i can but hope he succeeds in this most nobel of aims, rendering shia unhireable.

    @DrEmilioLizardo: I think they should have cast somebody else, like that guy who was the lead in Brick (and who was in that sitcom, 3rd Rock From The Sun)... forgot his name, but he impressed me in Brick.


    Even the guy who plays John Connor on the Sarah Connor Chronicles would appeal to me more than Shia. So sick of having to see Shia in everything. (I'm surprised Hollywood didn't cast him as John Connor in Terminator Salvation.)

    @FakingThroughLife: I cringe a bit every time I read a new story on this adaptation. Please please let anyone but Shia play Yorick, please please let Hero be a character with as much depth as she deserves.
