@Wookie1972: Don't you know it. It's like BSG only in reverse, River is now a man, played by Bruce Campbell, and becomes a hundred times more popular than the campy original. FUCK YEAH! #spiderman
I've thought about it and don't you think that, with all due respect to Mr. Reynolds, Campbell would make a good (if slightly over-the-hill) Deadpool? #spiderman
@Derfud: I'd love to see him show up as Ash and go "oh crap, wrong movie." Probably won't happen, though.
What I really want is for Raimi to work in the Classic. No more of this "it's anachronistic" nonsense (okay, it would have been silly to have it in Quick And The Dead, but no sillier than the finished movie). #spiderman
Just bag Tobey all together, and make Spidey 4 about Peter Parker at 50 (Campbell)- how he's getting older and slower, and can't keep up with these young new villains on the streets anymore.
@CJG: I like it, (and Julianne Moore would make a much better Mary Jane than Dunst) although my fear is that they would use it as an excuse to bring in "May Day" Parker. #spiderman
@David Alvaro: I dunno about that, I don't really read any DC stuff. I'll watch a Batman movie, but I get tired of the infinite variants on popular characters (not that Marvel isn't guilty of it themselves at times). Maybe I'll have to look into it and see how they stack up. #spiderman
@schrodingers-katana: I'm not a DC guy myself, but Reign is an acknowledged riff of DKR (look for Miller and (I forget the colorist's name) appearing in the text. It plays with the same concept, tone, plotline, and even art aesthetic, but far less successfully. Seriously, I'd never say it about another Batman vs. Spider issue, but Reign is a sad derivative knockoff by comparison. It's like Heroes season one put up against Watchmen and Days of Future Past and everything else it appropriated. #spiderman
@MIster_C: Only if they give Kraven the traditional costume. In any case, I thought Kraven's abilities were based less on his strength/agility than his cunning. #spiderman
@Wookie1972: Comic-book Kraven is definitely buff--he's the most body-builder-like of all of Spider-Man's classic villains--but that doesn't mean that the movie has to have him all pumped up. In fact, the movie would be much better if they emphasized the ruthless hunter aspect of Kraven, and maybe had a fight scene near the end where you find out that, oh yeah, Kraven also has strength and speed comparable to Spidey's. #spiderman
During his Q&A tour in support of "My Name Is Bruce", he was asked about the possibility of playing Mysterio. "I won't play any role that requires I wear a fishbowl on my head," he replied. He could, of course, change his mind. #spiderman
@Graypark: Yeah, that was the first thing I thought of. As much as he'd be perfect for the part -- working class Hollywood type and all -- you just can't cover up The Chin. #spiderman
@Graypark: I dunno, man. I've seen him in person twice, and he said something along the lines of "Hey, I got a kid in college, and those bills aren't cheap" at both appearances. He's a fun guy, too, which makes me think that he;d be up for just about anything. (Might be my fantasy life talking here, though.) #spiderman
