Vader in black velvet, never reaching the end,
Tuskens they've painted, never meaning to send.
Boba in ways I'd missed with these eyes before.
Just what the point is, I don't know anymore.
'Cos I love you, yes I love you, oh how I love you.
Gazing at Godzilla, flames from the mouth,
Just what they're thinking through I can't understand.
Some try to tell me, the art they cannot defend,
Just what you want to be, Mothra will be in the end.
And I love you, yes I love you,
Oh how I love you, oh how I love you.
I think EJO is great, but the writing of this movie was terrible. It's just as Jane Espenson says - she went through the first two seasons and cherry picked some plot to explain.
Except nothing she explains adds to the series. And this is the same problem she always has with her writing. The idea of something seeming organic and contextually warranted is completely lost on this writer.
Wow, Simon was with Anders in the base camp. Boy this sure expands on what we saw in the series and it explains - Oh wait, it doesn't explain jackshit.
Holy frak, Cavil could wake up sleeper Sharon and tell her crap. This is sure better than what we had originally - Oh wait, it isn't. It's just new story for no reason.
Gee, Cavil hung out with Ellen Tigh before the attack. Oh yeah, um, wait second - That makes no frakking sense.
Leoben knows how to reprogram radios? When did this happen? Oh yeah, that was the crappy out of nowhere detail Espenson added to the fourth season for no frakking reason. #battlestargalactica
And where is frakking Tom Zarek in this movie? Here is a character whose back story is just dying to be told. And the cylon centurions - what the frak about them? More backstory that could have been fleshed out (excuse the pun).
" 'People don't understand that if they want to see this universe again, they have to participate by voting, by casting their dollars. If they don't cast their dollars, they won't see any more of these.' "
Plus, if they don't cast their dollars, Mr. Olmos won't get any of them.

Yes Olmos is wondering what the hell happened and why his character began drinking, throwing up, crying in episode after episode, but he is more polite in saying that "he would love to see how things get explained." And the Cylons were stymied by, ahem, love?? I don't remember seeing much love in BSG, just lust, longing, creepy crushes, and mutual misery.
Still, the best two hours of the show -- Gaeta's Coup. Come to think of it, it would have been better if he succeeded. #battlestargalactica
@ceti: I loved Gaeta, I kinda hated when he joined forces with you know who because he always seemed true to the cause. In his own way, though. I figured he could have changed things, again, in his own way.
Though by that time people's minds were full of despair and sheer depression, it's very difficult to determine how one would react to such pressures.
And thinking about your last statement, I demand a "what would've happened to the Galactica under Admiral Gaeta's command?" movie. You know, instead of trying to answer whatever questions were intentionally left unanswered.

I never saw Alien, but I've been meaning to. I liked Aliens, but I was always told that they were very different movies. #starwars
