    I don't really see what people's issue is. It may be capitalizing on the dead, but no more so than the extraordinarily tacky merch being peddled every day around the country bearing the faces of MJ, Marilyn or Elvis. Disney is simply revisiting one of its old properties.

    Honey I Shrunk the Audience went stale and passe a loooooooong time ago; on the other hand, I have fond memories of seeing Captain EO repeatedly as a kid. I for one would love to see it come back on a _temporary_ basis.

    And since when was Captain EO a flop, @GreyHammer? It played successfully at various parks for many years.

    I bought Thriller. I bought a lot of other MJ albums.
    Having said that, I just don't give a crap anymore about a pederast who gave wine to little kids on "sleep overs", paid some woman to have kids and say they were his, and last but not least, dangled said kids from a balcony by their feet

    I think it is sick. Don't do it because the guy is dead. If you didn't do it while he was alive don't do it now. Especially something done by Disney where (living) people usually want to experience things done by Disney.

    I am a Michael Jackson fan but like I said and the poster above me they are just making money off of his death. Disney are doing fine with their current movies I just don't understand why they'd sink so low..

    I would not put it past a company like disney to capitalize on a celebrity death by putting out a movie that was previously a flop because said deceased was involved in the project.

    I don't know exactly how Walt will feel sharing his freezer head sarcophagus with Michael Jackson's cranium, but I'm guessing either he'll wonder how the hell one of the cast of "Songs Of The South" ended up there or "My what a pretty lady."

    Not going to happen. They would have to make a major renovation to the theater to put in the stuff for EO and take out the HISTA stuff. This rumor has been going strong since his death, but IMO there's no chance.

    Enough with this freak already. Disney must be really taking a hit on attendance to revive this crap. I know he was never convicted as a pedo, but c'mon. Even without that baggage, he was a goddamn nutjob, with endless plastic surgeries, having kids that look nothing like him named Blanket and Prince I and II, and a hospital's worth of drugs in his bedroom (how many non-sick people sleep with an IV pole in their bedroom?).

    What really pisses me off is instead of burying him at Pedo-Land, he's going to Forest Lawn in Glendale, where my Grandma is. It will probably be years before I can visit her grave again, because of all the freak-lovers that will flock to his internment site.

    @EBone: Yeah, the baggage would seem to be too high for wholesome kid-oriented Disney to put this back on. I'd think your average middle-American parent wouldn't want their kids watching it, just for the yuck factor.

    Even without a conviction, the prevailing view of him is still "drug addict pedophile freakshow".

    Not to mention bad publicity, protests from parents' groups, etc. etc.

    I cant believe moonwalker wasn't even mentioned in here. i mean he did turn into a jaguar xj220 and then he became a early version of a dancing terminator at the end.
