    The "Evolution of Technology" ad reminds me of a 1986 DC graphic novel called Metalzoic by Pat Mills and Kevin O'Neill. God I'm old.

    Ok it's a prequel, which is still remaking a part of aliens but not a cut and dry remake. I see where the confusion was. But yes it's an origins story, supposedly.

    The headline is a little misleading here. How is Carl Erk Rinsch going to remake a prequel that has never even been made before?

    Alright, after reading the linked article it seems that 'Alien' is being remade, it's not the same project that Scott wants to do ... the Alien Prequel. The original article says nothing about the Alien origins movie that Scott was talking about. It just says that Michael Costigan, Ridley Scott and Tony Scott are all on board to produce the new Alien reboot.


    Hollywood, I fucking hate you and all of your reboots. Why can't you leave these films alone? They're not even that old damnit!!! It's no wonder why the only American cinema I watch now is independent, and even then ... it's only once in a while I will watch such a film. These days it's all Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Russian, and European movies for me.

    Wait, wait, wait... Let me catch my breath. Okay, so the cold, heartless and unstoppable Remake/Reboot machine is tearing through movies at such a great and terrible clip that it's finally at the point where not even Alien is safe from its clutches? I give up, Hollywood, you've clearly won and from here on out, no truly "new" movies will ever be made - just the same 43 titles again and again until the end of days. My spirit is broken and I eagerly await the void that used to be my soul filled by the likes of Zack Efron playing Marty McFly and Dane Cook putting on Venkman's jumpsuit. Only a bullet can save me now...
