Really, I would totally watch a television series in which the characters from Trainspotting were lost in space on a malfunctioning alien spaceship with only a heroin-dispensing robot for company.

Any guesses on how long Carlyle will last before the producers kill his character off so that they can replace him with a hot, younger female doctor?

On SG-1, they killed off Dr. Frasier and replaced her with Dr. Lam. On Atlantis, they killed off Dr. Beckett so that he could be replaced with Dr. Keller. Apparently, it's Stargate tradition!

The single greatest foot chase scene of all time (28 Weeks Later...come on argue with me?? I dare ya =P) and just an all around scum of a character in that same movie. Loved him in it (and his convincing acting performance) and would watch the Stargate nonsense just for him.

Carlyle " Ehhhh, aye, emm, awrite then pal, sounds top , Spock wi the piynty ears anawrat, an Klingons, aye? Big broon neds fae ooter space, aye? So ahm like Scotty, aye, thon dylithyum crystulz cannae take ony mair captin"

Agent "?....., that's awesome Bobby, I got another call coming in, I'll talk to ya soon"

...3 months later

Carlyle: "Fukin StarGATE, whit the fuck?, that's pure pish by the way, pure gash, man"
