I was particularly reminded of Futurama by #7, since they did have a robot Abe Lincoln in the episode when Fry and Bender get sent to a robot nuthouse. Funny thing is, that robot also had a personality disorder. Multiple Personality Disorder, with all two-hundred personalities being Lincoln. "I was born in 200 log cabins."

Malfunctioning Eddie?
Anyways, there are so many other pointlessly-stupid robot designs in the Futurama universe, like Tinny Tim (designed with one lame leg) and the hobobots (with built-in bindles), not to mention the absurdity of the Hawkeye-bot (I know it had a name, but I can't remember it right now) which is a surgeon-bot that has a martini glass permanently attached to to one hand, and a switch on its chest that makes it either cheerful or morose.
