Does someone at the top of Heroes owe their life to Ali Larter or something? How can she KEEP defying death? I guess she's the new liquid metal terminator, because thats the only way they can write their way out of her death this time...
The linked "source" for Riddick wasn't giving you an "early plot synopsis". They simply wrote a recap of the last film for those that have forgotten. Like Charlie for example.
Isn't that the plot synopsis for the last Riddick movie or did someone realize that the last movie wasn't so great and found a way to get a studio to let them have a do-over?
Looks great except--and I can't **believe** I'm saying this--but the, ahem, endowments of his female superheroes break not only the laws of gravity, but my own (usually forgiving) willing suspension of disbelief. I mean, it's the chest equivalent of the "no capes" rant in The Incredibles. You can't tell me those things wouldn't get in the way. Or cause superscoliosis. Or require their own transport systems.
Yeah, I know. I've got to hand in my "man card" again, don't I?
@Laffinboy: 1) In case of a water landing, they can be used as a flotation device. 2)They'll never have to worry about falling on their faces and breaking their noses. 3) Two words: Adamantium Wonderbra.
@ManchuCandidate: I would be in line NOW for that movie. In some other universe, I am, with a wireless connection to Amazon and eBay to buy the merchandise.
@Charlie Jane Anders: Actually, if I remember correctly, Peri stepped in a big pile of Spectrox, and the Doctor got it on his hands attempting to brush it off her.
I used to think that the 6th Doctor's death was the most embarrasing way to go, but I suppose you could chock up the 5th Doctor's demise to "lack of sensible shoes"
Still, neither of those incidents can hold a candle to that bizarre scene in 'Dragonfire' where the 7th Doctor inexplicably decides to climb over the railing of a bottomless chasm and dangle precariously from the tip of his umbrella, for no particularly logical reason other than setting up a (quite literal) cliffhanger for the next episode.
@alphanumeric1971: as mindless as they are, i quite enjoyed the riddick movies.
and oddly enough for me escape from bucher bay is one of the most playable FPSs in recent memory. probably because it dispensed with 'story' and went straight to 'killing a heap of dudes like a badass furyan'
@Daveinva: Love both games. They do have some similiarities, but I loved them both for different reasons.
I actually think that Dead Space the game would have made a better plot for the second Riddick movie than the Chronicles of Riddick. It turned into Sci-fi camp, and completely lost the creepy kick assitude of Pitch Black.
First of all, props to Fox for advertising the X-files movie DVD on this site. I'm gonna buy 2 box sets! One for me and one for someone's Xmas (haha) present.
Secondly, I don't think that the X-files is dead. that show was so solid that it's still compelling today. Fringe looks tepid compared with it!

I love those guys. *gets super psyched for the next episode*

Ian McShane as Bones?
Antonio Banderas as Khan?
Heh. I think I'd rather watch this version than Star Trek Muppet Babies, I mean Star Trek Rebooted.
