I am so sick of hearing about David Tennant's big finale.
He's playing a Time Lord. He regenerates. What's the big fucking deal? David Tennant's had a good run, move the fuck over for someone else already.
@craigcarter: Part of the Doctor's character is the fact that he regenerates. I see no reason why Tennant should be receiving so much adulation for fulfilling the basic premise of the character. Also, where are you getting that information from? You have numbers to back that up? I hate to sound like a troll, here, but I'd say he's nowhere near the favorite doctor to date by the viewers... only the favorite doctor for the viewers born in the 80s.
@Smeagol92055: i dont have any facts but everyone i talk to and the doctor who forums praise him for the good actor he is (alot these people being die-hard who fans from back in the day) personally i prefer CE but DT comes a close second.
Yes the doctors character regenerates but i dont see how that has much to do with giving praise to good actor who played his part very well for 4 years.
For who fans the regen is a big moment, its just like the death of other characters in media its always a big event (assuming the character plays a important role)
I wonder if they'll have to add the extra fifth back into the Doctor Who credits to fit all those guest stars.
By the way, the "monster" Jimmy Vee is supposed to be playing is an alien called the Vinvocci, which apparently looks similar to the spiky red Bannakaffalatta character he played in 'Voyage of the Damned'... only green.
@bluehinter: I have a feeling you'll know the answer to this - that trailer - I know it's been said here that Timothy Dalton was doing the voice-over, but it sounded a hell of a lot more like Brian Cox. Am I right or just losing it?
@Davio: have you never read a comic book? I once questioned Ace the Bat-dog on the Batman Beyond cartoon series and someone immediately pointed out that it was an original character from the comics.
@tande04: Bah... that's what I get for posting before I've had my morning cup of tea. I was thinking of The Owl from Spiderman/Daredevil. Not exactly the most formidable villain ever.
@Blue_Thark: She was on her honeymoon in Children of Earth, so depending on where this story takes place chronologically, she could still be off somewhere with her new hubby.
Of course there are also unsubstantiated rumors that she didn't marry her doctor fiancee from 'The Poison Sky' and instead hooked up with Mickie Smith, which sounds deeply idiotic, but vaguely possible depending on what RTD wants to do to set up Torchwood season 4.
@ManchuCandidate: it's actor shit like this that screws up many a film...the desire to do something different, take the character in a new direction...
why? are you bored? better that than make a bad film.

They are predators, not fluffy cute little things. But more than that Owlman is pretty sane by the standards of the DCU's alternate earths.

RTD has crammed every single other alien and past companion into this episode though, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if they're in there somewhere.

It's episodes like this that make me think wistfully of the recreational chemistry adventures of my wayward youth...

The Justice League DVD sounds too cool. It should be a mini-series.

Otherwise, I'm starting to wonder what directions they're taking. Muzikal Spidey?
