You hear that lonesome howl io9?

That is the sound of the wind roaring through millions of empty bank accounts?

(Not making a social statement. This is too cool to knock.)

I do love me some spaceporn. Can't wait for some high-res action shots of this hot little 3-way.

On planes, my wife likes to talk, I like to sleep. This looks perfect for us as long as I can get a seat in a different cabin.

@CoffinDodger (If the typos crap. Blame my keyboard): This is actually a picture of Whiteknighttwo + Spaceshiptwo. Spaceshiptwo is the craft in the middle, which detaches and launches away from its mothership at about 15km altitude, then zooms up to 100km with its own engines.

Hey, I'm all for commercial spaceflight. Just don't be so naive as to believe it will somehow eclipse governmental spaceflight.

@corpore-metal: Whats so naive about it? Govemental spaceflight has been going down hill for a long time.

Personaly I think its naive to think the mars planes have a hope in hell of coming true.

@twDarkflame: I agree. Governmental spaceflight is a good thing, don't get me wrong, but it is contingent upon taxpayers who still want to fund it, and NASA's budget has been going down ever since Apollo, which is not a good thing.

Man, I wanted to go to space before, but getting to look like Daft Punk while doing it really seals the deal.
