    @kragshot: Wellll... if I remember correctly, there is a throw-away incident in Final Fantasy VII where archeologists are unearthing what appears to be a Grumman F-14 Tomcat from the ground, which I would assume is a reference to past.

    @FightingChance: Never played the game, but according to this video I found, Sephiroth's Super Nova attack destroys Pluto, a moon of Saturn, and Jupiter before making the sun go super nova, which then burns up Mercury, Jupiter, and Midgar. Granted, these attacks seem to happen in an alternate universe that has no consequences besides doing numerical damage to our heroes, but the planet names are rather interesting.


    Besides, the article doesn't specify which planet gets destroyed, it just said "the companies that have taken down planets or destroyed humanity".
