Joss Whedon's panels were pretty good last year, though he did use the same jokes in both. Eliza Dushku in the flesh(so to speak) is far sexier than I thought was possible :D

Is the Zack Snyder commentary going to be like Ebert's former "Cinema Interuptus" (I think it's called) that has a movie shown, and people ask/comment during the showing?

Is it a live director's commentary?

This is a mistake. The videos of Comic-con panels are always flat and boring and never capture the vibe of the event. This will hurt attendance for next year...wait, that means more room for me next year..carry on.

All I care about is that SOMEONE covers the Middleman panel.

@Dunny0: Went to the one last year, it was a sort of mashup panel. Natalie was cool, but oh man Matt Dallas of KyleXYZ was a thick as pile of bricks. I caught Ron Moore shooting him a disgusted look when he told everyone he had never seen any of the Star Wars.

Comic-Con is releasing more tickets for the con on their twitter account. Last night they gave out a two pairs of tickets for each day as well as a pair of 4-day passes.

If that is a sign of comic con's increasing popularity, next year is going to be packed tighter than a Japanese Rail Train.

@MosesMonster: when I went last year it was already packed that tight. They have a 130,000 max capacity stringently enforced by the fire marshal and the asshole security. They are actually expanding the convention center to accommodate. If they dont have a bigger convention center by 2012 they will be moving the convention elsewhere.

@MosesMonster: it has sold out for the last 3 years to the point even people with badges couldn't get into the hall because there was too large a crowd...even though there are plans to expand the convention center even more than they already have, i don't see them moving it. the city of San Diego will do everything in their power to keep the con there, it makes the city too much money.

they should broadcast the Peter Jackson panel as well, there's no way in hell I am getting up that early to wait in line and sit through how many panels I don't want to see just for that panel.

@MosesMonster: It sold out in 2008, so it can't get any more packed than last year... for me, the crowds were ok... it was certainly busy, but not stifling. I've seen worse at Disneyland.
