These completely kick ass. Number 3 and number 6 are pure awesome. Two is bizarre beyond belief but cool all the same, and number 1 is sheer outrageous.
I really want to write the role-playing game that uses this stuff as art.
I'm quite embarrassed that I thought about the combat Porsche from Leonard Part VI! My first thought was of Space Battleship Yamato! The land carrier reminded me of Area 88. Can someone please confirm that the supertanker chopper is going up a jump ramp to leap over the 18 wheeler?
That is a really ambitious eagle in number-8. And I love the idea that some really well made boats would be left floating to become little ecosystem rafts like number-5. With bunnies in them!

@Ruthless, If you let me: That was my first thought. No clouds of silt being kicked up by the current or sea life. No oil slicks above things that used to use gas and oil. No rust or algae or mud.
Getting a little tired of the relentless wishing-for-the-end-of-the-world dominating the screens and minds of the contemporary. If one is so desperate to make things easier, quit your job, move to the desert, and concern yourself only with finding grub and shelter. Otherwise, it takes diligent work, less snarky and better leadership to create something good in the midst of so much bad; much like good sci-fi.
Yes, I'm in my anti-comfortable-cynic mood today. Bring it.
Other than that, beautiful paintings from I AM LEGEND.
@Roklimber: I think it may already be on one. It was from
"Kill one man and you are a murderer. Kill millions and you are a conqueror. Kill all and you are a God" [Jean Rostand Pensées d'un Biologiste]
Why is a wolf and mountain lion running from a deer? What have those deer evolved into that they can drive the predators of the world before them? And why are there cameras on everything?
@Im_your_Huckleberry: I think the implication is that it wasn't just some single act that left us all dead. It was a gradual decline where big brother (homeland security) felt the need to watch the bad guys take over.

Fine. Choose your weapon, meet me in the io9 parking lot, and let's resolve this like two civilized human beings. :)

Yes, I am in my anti-humans mood today. I feel like killing a couple more today. Yesterday's culling wasn't enough.

Kill one your a murderer.
Kill a thousand, a conqueror.
Kill them all, God.
