There were two shooters. Oswald and someone else. Oswald fires the first shot and misses. This must have confused him initially. Prior to this he fired the rifle, probably for the first and only time while trying to assassinate General Edwin Walker. How did he miss at 30' away during that attempt and yet be able to take out Kennedy at 80 plus yards later? It was concluded that the window frame must have blocked the kill shot intended for Walker. Oswald, no doubt reasoned to himself afterwards that he must have missed because he was nervous (I know I would be if I was sitting outside someone's house staring them down through a rifle-scope) and it affected his aim.
The real reason for this is that the sights were off on the rifle. A fact Oswald could not have known since he did not have other opportunities to fire the weapon. In the book depository however he was steady in his resolve to complete his mission. He was not nervous and it was only then he must have realized the sights were off. No time to correct them so he aims lower and takes his next shot, striking Kennedy in the back. He reloads while the president begins to slump forward in his seat. The second shooter was already targeting Kennedy before the street sign obstructed his view. As soon as the president appears he shoots. Kennedy, now pitched forward is at an angle that causes the impact of the bullet to shatter his skull while fragments of it strike Connelly, causing his multiple wounds.
Mystery solved. Now if you'll excuse me I need to make a new tinfoil hat. #photos

There are a number of the Kennedy conspiracy theorists that say his head looks wrong & is a pasteup job on someone else's body. It does look a bit off kilter, but that appears to be the actual pose.

I've been subscribing to the benign conspiracy theory that is basically: there was more to the murder but the police, FBI, government, and frankly the people in '63/'64 just wanted the case shut so any hope of really knowing what went down went with that. There was a conspiracy to cover it up but not out of any sort of evil plan.
For me the biggest thing that confounds me was that Oswald proclaimed he was innocent to his last breath. Who shoots the president for extreme political reasons and then doesn't scream it from the rooftop? You shoot a president for extreme political reasons you TELL people those extreme political opinions.
It always comes down to that for me. #photos
