    What about Fallen Angel, by Larry Niven, Jerry Pournelle, and Michael Flynn? What could be worse than a bunch of uptight sci fi haters outlawing conventions? But we save the astronauts anyway! HAHA!

    "Las Vegas" also had a con in it. Actually, it was a big one that brought in a lot of money for the casino which is why they hosted it. Also, that episode resulted in a death that allowed James Garner to come back AND Dean Cain.

    Roswell doesn't "attract the occasional" convention -- the city itself sponsors a 3 day UFO event every summer. It's the biggest event in town.

    Please no singing at BiMonSciFiCon. That's considered torture under the Geneva Convention. Bill Shat's Rocket Man and Mark Hamill singing "I will Always Love You" should be seriously considered a war crime.

    Ironically, I prefer Stewie Griffin's parody of Shat's unintentional parody of Rocket Man though. I guess I have strange musical tastes.

    +1 to you for Roswell's "Convention" episode. I had a weird obsession with that show at 15. Like, staking out shooting locations obsession.

    Also, does anyone watch 'Bones' and is it any good? I'm finding that I have a strange desire for new David Boreanez TV shows.

    One disaster that I hope they can avoid is the Futurama panel announcing that this whole "recasting the series" fiasco was just a misunderstanding and that the cast has indeed been signed as it should be.
