@Alden Lee: Actually, if you're gonna be like that, it was _On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life_.
Naturally, this was quickly followed by _On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life II: The Quickening_.
very - erm good... a kitshy love story is exactly what darwin needs to stabilize his reputation as THE man of science in the times of rising creationism.....
@SinisterBill: Since the creationist stance has already been reduced to "believing in fairy tales" by the masses, I don't see why it can't be Darwin's turn for a little dressing-down. :)
(I could waste thousands of words talking about quantum physics and fairy tales. Believe you me.)
@equustel: Thought I should clarify that last statement: quantum physics are frelling awesome. I am utterly fascinated by it and how it relates to varied theologies. And I am of the Inkling (Lewis + Tolkien) train of thought when it comes to "fairy tales" - what they really point to, what value they have in and of themselves, why we write them, etc.
Didn't mean to imply quantum physics was somehow the equivalent of a fairy tale. I smell a lynching and I'm desperately trying to avoid one.
@YankBoffin: He definitely wasn't out to disprove God, but he also wasn't religious either - he loved his wife, though, which means he tried hard NOT to disprove God, for her sake.
The world has been waiting for a Charles Darwin love story. The only thing I think that the world has wanted more than that is the Isaac Newton teen comedy set in his days at Trinity College or possibly Enrico Fermi - Vampire Hunter.

That's right, I'm thinking of adult film: Master(bator) and Cummander: The Far Side of the Womb
