All of those sound like they'd make pretty awesome movies, but all I want to see is a proper Superman vs. Doomsday that tackles the whole of the story and ends with Supermans death and hints that he may not really be dead. That would make an awesome movie an it baffles me why WB won't do that instead of something else they will end up doing later. #comics
If anything you're making me think The Pitt should definitely be a movie. Keep Star Brand and maybe lose
"Kickers Inc." (if you have to ask... don't) #comics
Secret Wars isn't even close to be comics' "as many heroes at once" stories." That honor goes back to the first Crisis that teamed up the JLA and the JSA. You crazy kids think everything started with you. #comics
Not surprisingly, most of the story arcs listed in this article are apathy-inducing crossovers. I find it hard to read huge events when most of the time they deal with heroes I do not give a shit about and usually result in some retarded retcon happening so someone can milk the cashcows a little more.
I will keep my Hollywood versions of Spider-Man, Hulk, Iron Man, Batman, and X-Men, thanks. Maybe they'll get my attention with the Avengers movie coming up, but I doubt it. #comics
@Rocketknight: Yeah, it is those comic stories which turn me off comic's sometimes. I see the number of different titles I would have to buy to keep up with the story and it makes my bank managers back shiver. #comics
@Jeremy Tapsell: You're a bank manager or are you saying it would be so bad your bank manager would feel it?
Also, yes, the icon is from Kino no Tabi. It's one of my favorite anime series. There's also a light novel series but I'm not entirely sure whether or not I want to get into them. I don't even think they're being translated because the fandom is so small.
Although can you imagine the potential cinematic impact of the camera paning up the body of Captain America holding out his hand to a battered Spider-Man? "Need a hand Son?"
@tande04: Carnage looks like he's already going to be in Spider-Man 4 and the titile of the post is Superhero Stories Too Big for Movies. Not Superhero Stories you wouldn't like to see as movies.
That final double page spread revealing Cap was a very powerful moment for me. I don't think I'll ever forget being on the bus home having to been to the comic shop and having to turn the comic 90 degrees to read the page. I was young at the time and if I re-read the stroy I'm sure I'd pick holes in it but some things shouldn't be revisited when old age has battered your youthful exuberance into submission (I'm looking at you George) #comics
One: Making a fictiticious popstar even remotely cool would be nigh-on impossible.
Two: Same problem as with Crisis on Infinite Earths.
Three: No-one's going to go for Robot Archie. #comics

You've just inspired me to re-read the issue featuring the wedding of Susan Storm and Doctor Doom (Reed in Doom's armor, really). #comics

It could make a decent movie, if it were tying into, like 24 different other movie properties. Which ain't gonna happen. #comics

Venom was bad enough for movies. Lets not ever move on to his "X-treme" younger brother. #comics
