@dead_red_eyes: her work will be respected as it's been said over and oevr daft punk excel at choosing good samples and then using them in new and brillant ways.
Meredith, if you haven't already check out Alive 2007. It's a recording of the live show they were touring in 2006-2007. I had the good luck to see them about a month before the show that is featured on the album and what they did with the tracks from Human After All helped change my opinion about the album. Anyway, it's worth a listen.
@92BuickLeSabre: If by that you mean you're shitting your pants in gleeful excitement that this is the logical yet unexpected culmination of two things that you totally love in life like I am, then yes, palpitations indeed.
@Plague: You have no idea. Right now I'm naked covered in KY with Discovery on the turntables and Tron on my TV and just for good measure I have the Kaws gatefold for the 808's & Heartbreak vinyl pinned to my wall.

No offence to Daft Punk, but it should be Wendy Carlos all the way.
The music for the first film was truely wonderfull. Haughting and Electronic at the same time.
Just perfect.
Shes still alive and pretty sure she is still working.
Unless I hear specificaly she turned it down, theres no excuse for this :(

Yeah, I'm pretty bummed that Wendy Carlos isn't coming back to do the score. I've never liked Daft Punk.
