I've never really been one for the comic books, but this looks super cool and has me excited. I reckon I'm going to have to start visiting my local comic book shop on a regular basis.

If you're even the slightest iota interested in the "grammar" of comic books/graphic novels, including typography and positioning/types of balloon bubbles, THIS is a must-look.

While I applaud them wanting to do a straight version of the book, some of the text seems a mite redundant - "Iran said" every couple of panels with a speech balloon coming from her mouth.

The comic medium doesn't need stage directions if the panels are clear enough, surely?

@Discodave: I agree with all the comments above - it feels clumsy and unnecessary. However, I think I can see why they did it: once you start clipping out those little bits, you get into the dilemma of how far to go with it. Some of those little bits contain more than just "he said." Do you edit those out too? Where's the line between smoothing out the visual flow and editing the story? If you cross that line without realizing it, suddenly it's not the original story. So I think I can see why they would make the decision to leave it all in, desoite the fact that it doesn't necessarily translate well to this medium.
