    I have to say it's just unnatural the way I react to the quick cut showing the Alan Scott Green Lantern ring in the Smallville trailer.

    I mean, I talk about this series as a steaming pile of crap, but they show me that ring for a half second and I am SO there....

    @Bigdamnhero: Hmmm... since we're recounting embarrassing... I only got the pun of the Mayor in Nightmare Before Christmas being a two faced politician a few months ago... I proceeded to get someone to slap me hard...

    Anyway, awesome clips... I wish I could see that whole episode of buzzcocks.

    @Polymath: Yup. I had a mild reading issue though school. The counselor said it was like, for me, there was the written word, the spelling of the word and the spoken word and they don't really wander around with each other in my head.

    Puns like that have always escaped me (much to the consternation of ad men I assume.)

    There used to be a candy when I was a kid - shaped like soda bottles called "Soda Licious"(sp?) I was 30-something before I said "Wait. 'So Delicious', D'oh!"

    It's one of the reasons why I read voraciously. It constantly reinforces the word to spelling connection.

    I think I'd go with Rusty and Donna, and add Yorrick, Rodney McKay and The Middleman. As far as computer games go, I'd like to tip my hat to Nathan Drake in Uncharted, he's a damn cool guy. The banter between the characters in Uncharted 2 had me in stitches so many times I had to do-over several levels.

    Surprised McKay isn't getting a lot of shouts here so far, btw.

    Dollhouse's latest double bill ("Stop-Loss"/"The Attic", Fox 8pm)... includes the episode where Victor's contract expires...

    So can we assume that Victor will be "stop-lossed" back into the Dollhouse in the first episode?

    Baltar was great until he got drug into the cult plotline. But Benjamin Linus is by far the best. Don't be surprised if by the end of Season Six we think of him as a hero of the show.

    @Shai_Hulud: I sympathize my friend. During college I had a final every semester on my birthday, except one Junior year. That's the problem with having your birthday in late December. That and it's so close to Christmas. People think they can combine your birthday and Christmas presents!
