Anyway, since this has nothing to do with scifi or urban fantasy except for the actor involved, I hope that this means the scope of io9 is finding itself broadened that much more. Who's recapping tonight's How I Met Your Mother? And No, I'm not being a sarcastic twit. I really wouldn't mind if io9 covered more of the TV I watch.

I'm surprised that the Gawker Media circle doesn't have a blog specifically dedicated to TV shows. Some of the blogs like Gawker and Jezbel have liveblogs for their favorite shows, why not just devote a blog to it? Mr. Denton? *raises eyebrow*

If this sketch gets on io9 I demand an article on Commentary! The Musical, dammit.
Also, I've said it once (or twice) and I'll say it again, HIMYM is great TV for even those of us that hate sitcoms.

NPH was misused.
One of the worst shows of the season.
The musical bit he did was...cute... but the rest of the show - other than Kristin Wiig's Kathy Lee Gifford and the Broadway characters sketch - meh!
But I will have to check out "How I Met Your Mother," now.

Yeah, the first season is a little slow, but it's well worth siting through that to get to the good stuff. I think it's necessary to watch the first eps because a lot of it is referenced later in the series. It's kind of a nice progression when you start from the beginning.

Also, the show was called Doogie HOWser, MD. You may want to fix that, especially in the meta tags.
