This will guarantee that no aliens will ever come tracking us down. They'll watch a bit of Youtube and decide they want nothing to do with us. Either that or they'll conclude that they can conquer us in ten minutes flat, with a garbage scow that's due to be scuttled next week.

Sweet. I was just wondering how this could work a month or two ago. Should we keep in mind, that light takes noticeable amounts of time to travel between points of interest in our solar system? Compound that with th common disruptions that would call for DTN, and this should prove to be quite a different internet then the terrestrial one we're used to.

Additional: It probably wouldn't makes sense to use it for all information for everyone, since even if it was available 24/7 (or 24.5/do phobos or deimos even have phases?, as the case maybe), it just wouldn't be convenient to deal with the load times to check your favorite bogs on Mars. Culture probably couldn't permeate multiple planets simultaneously, and we might FINALLY reclaim some diversity within our species.
