Sure, bears are delicious - but this seems like an inefficient way to fight hunger.

Personally, I found the commercial hilarious. The people who make commercials like this obviously dont take into account the people who (for example) watch Nascar for the wrecks or extreme sports waiting for someone to break something. This video was pure win.

Good lord.... that is just 10 pounds of stupid in a 5 pound bag.

How in the world did a concept like this make it past story boarding, story pitch, first review and the endless meetings and general stuff that has to happen before something goes from a really bad idea to a full blown commerical?

    Stupid should hurt.

I love the whole "save the cute polar bears" thing... it's so utterly absurd that you just have to laugh. In the US they show us the same clip of a mother teaching her cub to swim (which is supposed to be them being "forced" out of their habitat... as if all polar bears live on small icebergs), followed by them tagging A DRUGGED BEAR and pretending it's "too weak to move".

These are bears people... they're very adaptable to just about everything... except a lack of food supply. That's got nothing to do with global warming... it has to do with man's constant interference with their territory. We think seals are cute for a decade and decide to "defend" them from the bears. When the bears are starving because we drive them from their territories, we suddenly find them adorable and use them as poster children for global warming. At the end of the day, it's pretty much all our fault.

Global warming is something we should be concerned about... but we shouldn't have to trick people into caring with sensationalist ads and touchy feely propaganda. If you want to circumvent global warming, why not stop CUTTING DOWN THE RAINFOREST? ^_^

@Akitsu: Not only that, but Polar Bears are actually considered to be mammals of the ocean more akin to killer whales or dolphins because they spend so much time in the water. We saw this on Blue Planet? over the summer and it surprised me as I always thought of them as land creatures. Shows how much I don't know about Polar Bears.

I have no idea what this advert is trying to say?? Do polar bears keep randomly jumping from planes. Is it an invasion force of zombie polar bears? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!??

Maybe the poster add should go like this. Much more to the point!!

So what, I'm supposed to wlak to europe? Or maybe we should just go back to the 16th century?

I'm all for the environment, but this was way over the top even before the bears started bouncing off buildings leaving bloody streaks.

@tetracycloide: With a net we'd get nice little furry meat chunks and with a trampoline we'd end up with uhm, extremely bruised meat.
