    @Rusty626: I wish I had known they were filming in Albuquerque. I would have gone and done some Stalking...I mean investigative reporting for Io9. I thought they were only filming up in Santa Fe.

    Michael Cera- so tired of his one-note, unfunny act. Sat through "Nick and Nora..." with my kids a couple of weeks ago, which might as well have had a mannequin sitting in for his role. He's fine as a back-up character, like in "Juno" or the excellent "Arrested Development". I know you kids like him for some reason, but honestly, he was the least funny person in that cast, and he will probably be pushed to the top of the bill in the upcoming movie version, which is so wrong. Probably what he held up signing on for.


    Also- isn't Scott Pilgrim supposed to be cute and cool? He's drawn that way. Zac Efron is closer to Scott Pilgrim than Michael Cera (or Jonny Quest). Ouchies.

    @John Hazard: I was entirely on board with everything you just said, but a few weeks ago I read an interview with Brian O'Malley (creator of Scott Pilgrim), where he addressed people's concerns about casting Cera. He basically said that he never viewed Scott as this cool, collected guy; he just viewed Scott as a nerd who THOUGHT he was all that.


    Look at the facts: the dude cries when Wallace erases his Final Fantasy save file, cries when he loses his job at a Mexican Restaurant, gets fired from a busboy position....we all love him, but even his friends admit that he's kind of a deluded screw-up! O'Malley ended it by saying "If you think that Scott is too cool to have his voice crack every now and then, I don't know what to say." I still have my doubts, (considering that the entire supporting cast is absolutely perfect) but I'm less skeptical than I was before.

    I hope Michael Cera surprises me with his chops. I've never seen him play anything but the same character in everything he's been in. I like him in all those things but he's not Scott Pilgrim like.
