    Is this going to be the "official" thread for the show that aired tonight?

    If so, I'm really pleased with this series. I was bracing myself to not like it during these last months that we've been reading all the developments on the creation of the show, but for a network series, they did a good job.

    Some people complain it's not as good as the original mini, but I think if you've seen the original mini, it's even more enjoyable.

    The writers have payed serious homage to the original, there are so many elements from the original that are being remixed here... for example, tonight it was the "evil scientists", just like in the original, the scientists were the evil ones who were being ostracized.

    I am really enjoying this series. I hope it makes it a full season.

    Morena Baccarin continues to look beautiful as you pointed out in the beginning but it seems to me that they are shooting her to look ever so slightly reptilian. I don't see this on the other V's but they seem to have given her skin a slightly greenish tinge in many scenes, especially the ones shot in the ship and they are accentuating her cheek bones to make them look more angular. It's subtle and I keep wondering if it is there, but I have seen it enough to believe it is real. The subtlety of it makes it really enjoyable for me. Something about this was mentioned a few weeks back - how they were going to show her as alien subtly rather than by eating a live rodent. Has anybody else noticed this?

    @Dr Emilio Lizardo: She is definitely giving off a reptile vibe. The short hair emphasizes her long neck (I noticed the neck back when she was on SG1 so it's not a camera trick). She does that odd blinking thing that seems reptilian. In that photo at the top of the page she really looks lizard-like (and hot at the same time). Offhand I can't think of another actress who has the right combination of features to make Anna's look work.

    @Dr Emilio Lizardo: I think they deliberately picked a woman with a ballerina-type physical because she's able to pull off that creepily graceful reptilian aura. The way Baccarin plays the role reminds me of a snake...but it's in a good way. Sort of slithering and...sexy? *shrug*

    I do think they're tinting her green. Yep.

    @Dr Emilio Lizardo: I have noticed that also. Her mannerisms are also very diliberate every thing she does has a purpose. I really like the scene when she was practicing what she was going to say to the widow of the pilot. She looks like if you touched her she would feel very cold. Something else very interesting about her she seems to be the only one of the visitors who know how humans work, even Dale Maddox didn't seem to have the same same insight that Anna does. Her mind seems to work a couple steps ahead of all of the other visitors. It seems that her daughter also has this ability, and looks slightly reptilian.

    I love this show. I love that I can pause it every 30 seconds or so and say THAT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN BECAUSE THE AGENT WOULD TOTALLY LOSE HER JOB or whatever.

    I wanted to like this show, but I was so painfully bored with the first two episodes.

    I have seen the future of this show, and it is not good. It goes on Hiatus after the next episode, to return in the spring. Many people forget it ever existed. When it returns, ABC over-advertises some soapy grey's anatomy/desperate housewives clone since the middle aged housewife demographic is bigger than the genre fan demographic. They put V on Friday night since nerds don't go out. ratings fall since the same number of people are watching it, but most are DVR'ing and the networks still can't count those people well. The show is cancelled and the prophecy that the crappy night time soap will do better is self fulfilled.

    The one thing that has bothered me about this show is why hasn't the Visitors told any Humans their species' name? And why hasn't anyone asked what do they call themselves? They just go by "The Visitors". With all of the studying Anna has done you would think she would have come with a cute and cuddly name to give to the Human's as their race's name.

"with Anna"? that's it? they don't even ask why the frak she calls herself Anna or if she didnt have the time to at least come up with a human last name? like with the species name, why isnt anyone asking this questions??
