A couple of weeks ago, we gave you the first ten pages of Marvel's adaptation of Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game: Battle School - and now we're following that up with an exclusive advance look at December's first issue of the companion series, Ender's Shadow: Battle School.

Marvel describes the series - written by X-Men and Hellblazer writer Mike Carey and drawn by Sebastian Fiumara - like this:

A mysterious orphan on the streets of Rotterdam, no bigger than a bean, will change the world. There’s only one student at Battle School smarter than Ender Wiggin—Bean.

Apparently, they tried to work in the word "bean" more times, but it seemed awkward. All is forgiven, however, when you see the amazing artwork from the series.

The book launches on December 3rd.

The first issue of Marvel's adaptation of Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game hits stores tomorrow - but if you can't wait that long, you're in luck. We've got an exclusive preview of the book's first ten pages to whet your palette.

The five issue series, Ender's Game: Battle School, is adapted by New X-Men and X-Force writer Chris Yost and artist Pasqual Ferry, is only the first in a line adapting Card's famous novels; it'll be joined in December by the first issue of Ender's Shadow: Battle School by X-Men: Legacy, Lucifer and Hellblazer writer Mike Carey and artist Sebastian Fiumara. Keep watching the site for previews of that series, as well as interviews with Yost and Carey.
