Does that mean that writing angry letters to the editor or typing insane comment on the internet is the evolved version of throwing feces?

@ManchuCandidate: Actually, I think that it's the evolved version of pulling the whiskers on the nearby big cat. People who spend a lot of time doing it tend to write themselves out of the gene pool.

Okay. But I still want to bite people who use emoticons.

When I'm sad or disappointed in a situation (frowny face), I find it really difficult to let out what I'm feeling. Meanwhile, if I'm happy or even angry, it's not tough at all. This makes sense to me.

    Neat little study.

(how do you pictures in a comment? I've seen it done before with youtube videos and the such, and this doesn't carry the weight it would if you could see it :D )

@-emory-: from my good friend 92BuickLeSabre come the following sage advise:

    for )

    (img src = "http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/images15/ShiranianPuppy1205thru0206024.JPG", width = 200

A few tricks It has to be a url that ends in .jpg. Just the image, not the page. Make sure there is a space on both sides of the =. Do not use a closed tag; just the open tag - it's some kind of bug. And the width number can be adjusted. I usually use 150 or 200. You can also use height = instead of width =

I wonder how much of the human brain is devoted to the sort of prehistorically-crucial task of distinguishing real smiles from false ones.
