Sweet it was, but it's amazing what a wide-angle converter lens and a few jib shots (or gods forbid crane shots) could have done to make it even sweeter. If Sam Raimi could fake that stuff in 1981, I wish more indie and amateur film makers would do it today... (I'm programmer for an indie film festival, I see *a lot* of sub-par stuff that could have been swanked up a notch with faking crane shots or adding a converter lens). Also, maybe they could have opted for an actual Japanese guy in the lead, but hey, you take what you have, and anyway, Rain is faux-Nihonjin in every Hollywood movie these days, so whatever.

If you do that.. then I will finally have to finish the script for my Paperboy movie.
