And now its towering smokestacks are about to become a giant laser light show. During the last week in Februrary, a group of French artists will beam a laser ray at the plume of vapor emissions from the plant, which they hope will call attention to the amount of emissions the city is spewing into the air. Here you can see a previous version of the art project, in Dunkerque. They've created a mockup of what the Helsinki clouds will look like, below.

<![CDATA[Coming Soon: Nature As Amusement Park]]> Finnish artist Ilkka Halso believes that, once we're done depleting the ozone, destroying the rainforests, and using up all arable land, nature will be on view in amusement parks, kinda like zoo animals—glorified yet completely devoid of purpose.
