I dunno, I think people are just oddly fascinated by Bo for some reason:

@bookling: Man. Isn't there some way to edit/delete an image in a comment? That didn't come out the way I wanted it, plus I wanted to add one more:

Pet Avengers makes my inner 7 year old curious.

Wasn't it established he's actually an alien spy for S.W.O.R.D. and actually more intelligent than Professor X?
He should be the be the next head of S.H.I.E.L.D./ HAMMER

Though I must confess I keep meaning to pick up Barack the Barbarian. It seems like really keen satire rather than just a stunt. Plus it has Palin and a whole across the board political parody instead of just more Obamamania.
Oh and why even jokingly pair Sasha with Static? DC doesn't do interracial couples? (Mr Terrific and Sasha Boudoux come to mind that they do.)

We worked hard to give Tasha a unique personality all her own and make her situation and the characters around her as original as they can be, aside from the most obvious similarities to real-life (her being the daughter of a president). I believe the president's oldest daughter is ten, while Tasha is a teenager. That alone provides a world of difference.
I created TFD in December 2007, long before Obama even looked to have a decent chance of being elected. This isn't a quickly-produced "Obama cash-grab." It's an original character in an original story, with a couple of surface similarities to real life.
And believe it or not (I don't blame you if you don't!), the name Tasha was something of an accident. Her name was originally Tashi, but at the last possible moment (a couple of days before the printing deadline for our Comic-Con-debuting first issue) we learned of an issue with the name Tashi and were forced to change it. The book had already been lettered, so we kept that in mind as we discussed the possible name changes, and decided on Tasha partly because I liked the the name, and partly because it meant our letterer only had to change one letter throughout the 24-page issue. :)

With the last name Trasker and all the fighter jets in the background, it could have been an unofficial sequel to True Lies, and I would have considered buying it.
