The Heart Nebula Bleeds Out Into Space

The so-called Heart Nebula lives up to its name, in this lush new image that an amateur astrophotographer posted on a new Flickr account. We've never seen nebula pictures this rich-looking. And just wait until you see the Rosette Nebula. More »

Beware Germany's New Ruler, The Dino-Bot!

This fire-breathing dino-bot menaced the crowds at a robot art show in Cologne this past weekend, and Johl from Flickr was there. Above, you can see a UFO that landed in the middle of a city in Nanning, China — captured on film by Peigianlong. Want to see more UFOs from around the world? Check out our collection. More »

When the Sea Withdraws, the Spawn of Cthulhu Find Shelter Here

No, we haven't obtained early concept art from the sequel to Cloverfield. This structure is the home of an actually-existing seaside dweller on Earth. What kind of creature builds such a facehugger-esque structure? More »
