I disagree with your points except that I don't think that Caprica was a logical choice for another BSG show.As far as The Plan I also look at that as a footnote as in a book.It will expande on this subject and allow us to learn more of the cylons.

Caprica seems to me to be a show that will alienate us BSG'ers as me and a bunch more enjoyed all the Cylons/rocketships/planets/outer space/action and Caprica will be an even more soap opera than BSG.I am not sure if I can even sit and watch that kind of show.I don't watch any straight up dramas and hate them as they don't intetest me.shows like ER,house,nip/tuck,sex & city,etc etc. Caprica will probably be just like those kind of shows with a smattering of scifi thrown in.

now that is a bummer..........

@gorehound: Again, you keep saying "drama" when you mean "soap opera"... though at least you're getting better and using the term "soap opera".

What you need to say, basically, is "I only watch sci-fi that has spaceships."

You don't watch sitcoms either, right? (pro-tip: Sex & the City wasn't a drama) (it was stupid, but it wasn't a drama)

I kind of feel sorry for you having such narrow tastes, actually; I don't watch soaps either, but there are a lot of good dramas and one or two comedies that are well worth watching if you're open-minded enough. Your loss.

When ever I think of the new BSG the first few words that come to my mind are "CHILDHOOD RAPE"... Yes that should do it! Because my pure and innocent childhood memories of the greatest TV shows of that era have been BASTARDIZED all because some DAMN network exec, wanted Starbuck to be a CHICK!!!! DAMN YOU! SCI-FI!!!!!!! DAMN YOU TO HELL!

@shaithis: It was a bad series. Period. The new BSG has very little in common with the original and is critically acclaimed. How often do you hear people reference the old BSG as being a turning point in television? I'm not a fan of the original Trek, but I can still recognize that TOS was a show that really did a lot for TV. There's nothing wrong with liking the original BSG, but stop trying to sound elitist by saying something that makes no sense. The new BSG does NOTHING to the original. You can easily enjoy it and enjoy the new one as well.

btw: OMG and I LURVE twilight cause EDAWRD is mai tru love! FOR REALZ11!!11!!! WTF does Twilight have to do with anything? Next time you try to insult, at least get something remotely relevant.

See, I loved the show, but didn't love the finale. My favorite thing about the show was that it took risks. Sometimes they paid off, sometimes they didn't, but I never knew what I was going to see from season to season.

The finale felt sort of tame by comparison.
