I was a bit disappointed, because this week's strange occurrence had nothing to do with the pattern. This is supposed to be Fringe, not X-Files. #fringe
@Roklimber: Err, the brilliance of The X-Files was that it was three shows: conspiracy, Monster-of-the-Week and comedy.
Fringe follows this wise choice. :) #fringe
I really enjoyed this episode. The nightmare Peter was having at the end of the episode was really creepy and I thought was done very nicely. That shot of Walter in the mirror gave me goosebumps! #fringe
@DeadlyRaptor: same here! i jumped when the kid screamed, but then i felt so bad for walter and that look on his face made it even worse when he heard peter talking in his sleep. #fringe
I seem to be having trouble with the comments. First my star disappears, then the comment box switches to Times New Roman, and now the comments don't seem to show up at all. Trying again...
Kashner was great. Need more Kashner. But what was up with the Scrabble Da Vinci Code? #fringe
Walter is just full of win every week. I loved the way he was afraid to move to a more permanent home- then afraid this week to leave it. His entreaty to Peter to 'let him go home' in Seattle was really moving.
As their relationship has evolved and become one of the emotional centers of the show, I find myself waiting for the inevitable denouement when Walter and Peter's true relationship is revealed. It is the ticking time bomb under the table for them and I am really looking forward to seeing questions about our Walter and the 'other' Walter answered.
And I just LOVE Walter and Astrid. The housewarming scene was really touching and I love how she totally got over him DRUGGING A FEDERAL AGENT with very little fuss. Within his arena ( drugs, weird science, cows, etc.) she obviously totally trusts Walter. It's nice. #fringe
I like Agent Kastner. From Peter wondering if he'll be able to survive the flight with Walter, to denying the raw milk thing till he heard the MOO, to gamely trying to help with the autopsy, to his perfect delivery of "Raspberry? *thud*"
And Astrid and Walter are a great team. She keeps him in line when need be, and the rest of the time, you know she's thrilled to be in on the mad science. #fringe
@Evil Tortie's Mom: R.O.A.C.H.: I keep expecting Walter to turn to Astrid and say "You complete me!" By which he'll mean: You're sane! And I'm not! #fringe
@Chip Overclock: She really does keep him functional in the lab. I don't think she's 100% sane, though, else she wouldn't be so buddy-buddy with Walter. She's like his big sister. #fringe
@Evil Tortie's Mom: R.O.A.C.H.: There is some definite mutual affection between them. I see it more as an eccentric uncle/favorite niece kind of thing, though. #fringe
@reesiekitty: The really great thing about Walter is that just when he lulls you into seeing him as a vulnerable old man, you get a reminder that he's a seriously dangerous mad scientist.
I like Asterisk... ummm Astrid a lot as his assistant / part time keeper, but I'm hoping that while she's taking this all in stride she's still watching her back; remember how Walter got into the loony hatch to begin with...
If Kashner is going to stick around, he's going to need to up his game real fast...
Totally seems that Walter slipped backwards a bit this episode. I think his new living arrangements have caused him some unease. And what happened that reminded him of the asylum? (I was kinda distracted at that moment and only caught him flippin' out to Peter).
I suspect Walter may go off the deep end at some point this season when the interdimensional shit hits the fan. #fringe
@J_Frank_Parnell: I'm pretty sure seeing someone strapped down to a hospital bed triggered all sorts of memories for Walter. He's probably been in that situation himself once or twice.
Walter does seem to be regressing. He's becoming more of the mad scientist and less of the charming eccentric scientist. I'd be worried for Astrid but Walter seems to be genuinely fond of her. #fringe
@Ghost_in_the_Machine: I think that it may have also been the smells and humidity of the place as well which would be linked to his memory. Didn't he mention something about the humidity? #fringe
People prematurely aged because of their dream state? Did one of the writers watch City of Lost Children and was inspired by it?
Who played Agent Kashner and why does he seem so familiar?
Was anyone else tripped by the beginning of the episode when they started with a shot of a man's feet walking and then panned up? The look was of black shoes, slacks and carrying a briefcase. I thought for sure it would be an Observer. I thought it was a nice fake out. #fringe
@mekki: 1) i thought it was an observer's delivery-boy as well (and for all we know, he still could have been) and
2) That's Keith from Scrubs (Elliott's ex). I thought he was great, poor guy. they really should know better than to leave him alone with Walter. #fringe
Every time we go to the bowling alley I am charmed by the music. Whomever they have picking out the clips for that is a classic rock fan. "From the Beginning" by ELP, hells yes! #fringe
Would a person really die of EXHAUSTION if they couldn't dream? Would "stealing" their dreams really prevent them from dreaming themselves?
Do people's hair ever really turn white instantaneously?
Does anybody like the Bowling Yoda guy? His random business card exercise reminded me of Agent Cooper's bottle exercise on Twin Peaks, only not as imaginative or interesting. [www.youtube.com]#fringe
@Chuck: I love "MK Ultra," it just rolls off the tongue.
One day I am driving and I see a delivery truck with MK on it and I think "MK Ultra" to myself, as I always do when faced with either half of that phrase. Later on, while still behind this truck, a car pulls along side it in the middle lane (I was in the left) with the license plate ultra-1. #fringe
@Chuck: Ghod, I loved that too. Not only is it funny if you're into the conspiracy theory stuff (and, you know, who isn't), but it makes perfect sense that Walter would have been part of that project. AND it means the writers are paying attention.
(Here's where I have to admit I watched that episode while sitting in a Best Western in Roswell New Mexico. If Walter had said something about being one of the Majestic 12, I would have freaked out a little.)
@Chip Overclock: The nice part about it is that it suggests the writing staff is actually paying attention to who their audience is -- and not just "teching the tech", as it were... #fringe
and no bell and peter are not teh same people. the earth 1 peter died so walter found a way to steal earth 2's. william used a bell as a trigger because he knew walter had the same one on earth 1, who used it was not relavant.
also i guess LSD experiments help older women stay hot because that woman was seriously gorgeous for someone who would have to be near 50.

Maybe Walter's regression is due to him being reminded of being in the mental institute.
