I don't think it gets any clearer than this that God is talking to us: "this is My domain. Stay home."
Look, we're put here on Earth, without wings, for a reason. And that reason is God. He is the only reason. We're lucky He allows us to even imagine what outer space is like. For us to openly lust for it and to voyeuristically gaze into His metaphorical backyard is a Sin of astronomical proportions.
When I was a child, my Father taught me that everything has its place. It's what helped me understand what it means to be a man, and to find a woman who understands what it means to be a woman. Why can't human beings understand their place under God? We are His children. And as such, we need to follow His rules. If we were meant to be entities of the universe, He would have put us there, just as He put us on the various continents with our various skins and faces.
It is the arrogance of man that makes him lust for space. And that lust, ironically, will not deliver him into that endless expanse of wonder, but straight into the endless torture of Hell itself. Satan waits for those who defy God's divine will.
So turn away your telescopes, your eyes, and your hearts from the stars and embrace the will of The Lord. His love is all you need to explore. His will is all you need to strive for. Leave His territory alone!
What if the big bang theory is only half correct, and the explosion that created our little nook of the universe is far from unique? That light show could be the 'little bang' from some ultra-massive black hole that finally reached critical mass and released it's bounty of matter and space-time back into the universe. As its electromagnetic shockwave traveled the millions of light-years to our little earth, space's unbound fabric slows and cools, spinning galaxies, stars and eventually, worlds.
Long after our sun burns out one of those worlds will be in the right place at the right time and the miracle of life will spark. That life will grow and evolve, spreading across its world, furiously adapting as it must. Mass extinctions and global catastrophes will nearly kill it, but instead will make it stronger, smarter. One day that life will look up and marvel at how special they are that God created this entire universe just for them.
