Ok maybe it is just me but last nights Heroes was good. By good I mean it didn't make me groan (well except for the scene where it looked like Mama P was seducing the Hunter that made me cringe though) It's almost like they said "Fuller coming back let's write something he won't yell at us for." I actually liked last nights show and have hope for Heroes making a comeback. Here's to hoping next week I'm not disappointed.
I was lukewarm about the episode until its last moments. Then I had a weird feeling...it was a feeling of intrigue. I actually wanted to know what would happen next week on Heroes! And I gave a fuck about Nathan.
It was big bright and shiny. It was different, yet the same. It sucked in talent from other areas fooling them into thinking they'd make a difference. We are always suckered into buying the first ish, but then we keep getting it way after it disappoints.
I have a thought for redemption "Punisher Invades the Heroes Universe."
He could kill off the characters which I don't care about anymore, and at this point...that would be all of them. Well maybe I'd keep the AndoCycle.....the AndoCycle....the AndoCycle....seriously.
@MultipleMe: They would have me for 5 seasons more, without question, if they had Ray Stevenson (or Ray Stevens for that matter) punch a hole in Peter Petrelli's face and then drop Suresh off the top of a building on to a spiky fence.
I never liked "HRG", but when it was all we had that was okay. It *really* bothered me when they used the voice over guy to sum things up from before and he'd say H-R-G.
@Robotic Bilbo Bagins has no use for fleshy ones: HRG or Noah. Well, if you don't count holding down the shift key, it is easier to type. But if you do, then Noah is far easier as it doesn't require either constantly holding down the shift or putting then taking off caps lock.
I predicted a week or so ago that soon a Heroes producer or writer would again announce that they knew where they went wrong and would fix it soon. I just never thought they'd name the whole story arc after the concept.
I bet next season will mostly focus on Claire's mom redeeming coupons so she can feed all the fugitives. Or we'll be subjected to hour upon hour of Matt trying to make up his mind as he figures out what trinket to get at an arcade when he redeems his tokens. Nathan will lose his ability to fly and need to finally redeem those unused airline miles.
@MrJames: Now that is a show I would watch! I assume it also involves Hiro stopping and taking the time to redeem a buy 10 get 1 free Waffle Club card?
@All_Thumbs: I heard she freaked out on a reporter in Hawaii this week. As for the tan, I guess she didn't wear enough sunscreen while out on her GreenPeace Zodiak boat. ;)
I now watch this like I watch Chuck: on fast foward, slowing down only when something looks interesting---which in this case means never when Claire is onscreen.
@NotArthurPDragon: I now do the exact same thing, except for me I never slow down when Peter or Matt are onscreen or Nathan, unless HRG is also on screen at the same time, except it also includes when the "hunter" dude is on screen with Nathan and HRG, but not when "hunter" dude is on screen with any other combination of people. (It's complicated.)
I've found that as a 20 minute show to watch on Tuesday mornings while I brush my teeth, as a break from Morning Joe, it's quite good actually.

I refer to him as "HRG" but having the announcer name him that was full of FAIL.

Aside from Syler flashbacks and cringe-worthy underwater kissing its been pretty good so far.
They got the pacing perfect now...not too slow or fast like before.
People whining now are mostly whining because they like to whine. Heroes is still easily one of the best shows on TV.

Seriously?
You seriously think it's one of the best shows on tv?
Is your tv set broken or something?

Srsly Mr. Kring, has promotion for Heroes stooped this low?
