    That Ghostbusters 3 news just sort of breaks my heart. I know a third one would never live up to the original, but any excuse to see the characters in action again is good enough for me. But without Murray, there's really no point. #sanctuary

    @lostarchitect: Ackroyd has made it pretty clear that's exactly what they intend. I think he described the involvement of the original team as "cameos".

    @lostarchitect: I haven't read the quote recently, but as I recall Ackroyd made a big point of saying the original actors were too old. "We have hip replacements and so on, now." I think he's seriously underestimating the affection people feel for the original guys. People are gonna line up for Bill Murray, they don't wanna see Seth Rogen and Michael Cera crossing the proton streams.

    @cletar: If it makes you feel better, you weren't alone. Murray had such hatred for the second film that he refused the franchise to continue. So, him coming back may be a pretty good indication... I hope. (I mean, I know we all like to pretend he only picks the best projects.. but... Garfield.)

    Protoncharging.com recently had part of an interview from Harold Ramis where he mentioned GB3 would involve 2012 in some way. While I'm already a little over the Mayan Doomsday thing, I think the only people who can truly deal with such an thing is, in fact, the Ghostbusters.
