Zontar, The Thing From Venus is my favorite cheesy movie title! Thanks for including it, I'm looking forward to watching this lost classic while eating lots of cheesy nachos!
No gifts for the Hitchhiker's fans? I mean I've made Don't panic towels ( and two headed, three armed bears, among other things.) But I was hoping for something new and exciting.
@Andrew Roach:
I could send you an LDraw file for a minifig-scale LEGO model of the movie shuttle pod. Would that work? I mean, you'll still have to collect all the parts yourself, but...
@octaslash: In all fairness though it did get bad even while he was witting it.
Danger Room is alive? Not a good idea.
He did pull it together in the end though.
Oh and your comment about Kitty and Emma. Probably would have happened. There were a number of complaints that the characters were basically just rehashes of Buffy. I didn't care. Wes/Cyclops = Awesomeness.
I would argue that you can't be a "vampire" fan as a generic thing these days. true blood, twilight, buffy and Dracula are TOTALLY different, and for TOTALLY different types of people.
@BobTheCool: Eh, I disagree. I'm a vampire fan, and I actually like all of those series. :) I just really like vampires as monsters. (of this list, though, I'm more of a Whedonite!).
@Scaramanga9: I was going to brilliantly retort 'Edward manages,' but of course that doesn't answer your very fair inquiry at all. :p I suppose it's all the posturing he does over Bella that gives me that impression. He is indeed very "emo" in the negative sense of the word.
I'd definitely buy Left 4 Dead 2 as a gift if it didn't also require that I buy an Xbox . . . although I do know someone with an Xbox - would it be considered tacky to buy them L4D2 as a gift, and then spend all my free time at their apartment playing said gift?
@collex: yup. and you can get the original via steam with some great deals, watch steam leading up to xmas, i promise they'll drop a crazy good deal on you.
@collex: Unfortunately my laptop is a couple years old and also kind of a piece of crap. It struggles with running microsoft word. I'd honestly feel guilty inflicting something like L4D2 on it. It'd probably explode.

I like how people complain Joss Whedon has to make his characters miserable, and completely the opposite about Abrams.
Christopher Nolan's GI Joe

I detect some subtext. Some repressed dislike. I'm not sure what it is, but...

"Iced tea".
"Used to".
I know, I'm a boring jerk.

Also, minor quibble, but the Steampunk section should include Girl Genius graphic novels.

I kind of wish he was still writing it, I just know he would have turned Kitty Pryde and Emma Frost into lesbians.
Just don't watch the motion comic.

This gets my vote though.
Then again I'm sure its one of those things that I like, but I wouldn't actually want to own.
