All right. A couple of nitpicks.

    1) it's Boudicca not Budeka.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boudica

    2) From the comfort of what time machine did you see the 1986 Ghostbusters cartoon BEFORE the 1984 film? I seriously question your 80s kid credentials.

    3) AI's Teddy as a Top 20 Worst Pet. Preposterous!!

How can you mention lockjaw and not mention lockheed the dragon from the x-men comics. He is a better pet than all 20 of them combined.

I think Spider Jerusalem's cat from Transmetropolitan should be on here. It had two faces, chain-smoked, and ate geckos and mutant pigeons. Then there are all the horrible things it does to Spider...

I totally disagree with your inclusions of Slimer and Selacious Crumb. You're just wrong. Plain wrong.

Came to thread expecting Fizzgig from Dark Crystal and Nimitz the Sphinxian Treecat from Honor Harrington novels.

    Left disappointed :(

Although it could be argued as to whether Nimitz is a pet at all...

FWIW, I'd put in Raul, talking cat sidekick to Ruben Flagg, Plexus Ranger. Why he's awesome? He's a talking cat. And also a cross-species lothario.

@Lampbane: Although vastly inferior, I have a soft spot for some of those episodes. They had some fun gimmicks, but the animation quality was terrible.

Clearly I'm too old and took geeky--what the hell? What about the stupid monkey pet from "Lost in Space"? What about the beach ball pet from "Dark Star"?--that thing ruled.

If you're including book characters (unless you mean the movie versions of certain Discworld books), I'd add Mouse, the kickass temple dog who's attached himself to Harry in The Dresden Files series. He's scarily strong and resilient, and smarter than most people.
