    I've also heard that we're like gamey pork. I remember hearing about an explorer who was unknowingly treated to "long pork" in some tribal village and was vomiting it up before he even knew what it was.


    As for the story, I'm more inclined to ascribe it (if it's true) to the murderer/psychosis aspect than the "dang dude I'm hungry" aspect. We live in a world where suicidals and cannibals have been known to get together and both get what they want (happened in Germany a few years ago), not to mention two girls, one cup.

    I'm not complaining.


    I say "yea" to sci-fi cannibalistic dystopias.


    Also, on another note. I've found that this year I've had to add "dystopia" to my regular daily vocabulary.

    @Evlsushi: I love dystopia as much as anyone, but the assumption that it is necessarily scifi is amusing. These days it seems more like news than entertainment anyway.

    The low fat muscular parts of the body might be filled with more protein and better for you nutritionally but I think these guys really missed out on a culinary adventure by not going for the fatty loins.

    @orbital1: The "Tarot" series wasn't too bad, and I did like "Macroscope." He was a deceptive writer. I would often finish one of his books before I realized that I didn't like it.
