Does anyone actually think that this "lesbian storyline" will go any further than the one kiss we saw in the teaser for next week? Is it possible that Claire's reaction will be anything other than, "Whoa, I'm not gay and I don't like you that way, let's just be friends"?

This seasons been great so far.

While this particularly plotline isnt interesting in the least, its not nearly such a big deal as the media makes out either.

So is introducing a gay substory to a dying series the new form of "Jumping the Shark?". Still not gonna watch!

@omnibus_spiritus: Heroes went from 1410million ish viewers over the course of 3 seasons. That really isnt that bad statisticaly. Most shows lose a lot more.
Sarah Connor Chronicals, for example went from 11 down to 5 million in 2 seasons.

So despite the moaners, Heroes is far from dieing.
Also, with the new (working rather well) approaching to having only a few characters each eppisode, it should be a bit cheaper to make too.

Wow, this bitch has a fucking EGO!

I hope they pull a Drake Remoray and kill her off for basically saying she helps write her part.

Although in this case she pretty much admits to asking for the the most groan inducing "new and improved" part of Heroes.

Is it really too late to shitcan this show and bring back Life?

@I_Like_TDs: Um, she's hardly saying she helps write the show. She gave one plotline suggestion to the writers - many actors on many different shows offer suggestions to the writers about their characters. The writers can take those suggestions, or they can ignore them.

Actually the fact that you're taking story cues from your actors is the sign of a greater problem.

@AngriestGeek: It sounds like the comment was made in jest, but the fact that the writers ran with it is troubling.

Not that I care since I can barely watch 3 minutes anymore.

@AngriestGeek: Not really, its actualy very common. Lots of sci-fis even have whole eppisodes written by one of the actors.

They often dont turn out good, of course. But it isnt nesscerly a problem for the series. In fact, its probably done to keep the actors/actress's happy and more invested in what they make.

@twDarkflame: I remember seeing "written by David Duchovny" on some X-Files episodes, and they weren't bad. They weren't even MOTW episodes.

The problem with heroes is that nothing makes sense anymore, and the characters can only be recognized by their face and power in some cases, by their face in others or not even that in another one.

So, yeah, they can throw in whatever they want.
-Claire wants to leave and join a circus? -That's OK.
-Peter wants to stop being a hero and starting a pizzeria? -Why not?.
-Matt's son grows a third arm and teletransport candy? -What, Matt had a son?
-Nathan wants to leave politics and work for charity? Erm.. didn't we kill him? -erm... sort of, this is Heroes after all

"but she's really the first person that she's been able to let in on her secret"

Is Claire's secret her ability to regenerate? Since if so...

Besides her adoptive parents and brother. Besides her real parents and uncle and grandma. Besides Sylar and any other major plot mutants she's met. Besides flying boy from season 2. Besides swimming boy from season 3.

...yes, besides all those people, Claire's new roommate will be the first person that she lets in on her secret.

Warning: rad shows may expose you to rad sickness, where you (and your writing staff) suffer from amnesia. Symptoms may include watching Heroes for anything besides lulz.

@ShadowStaarr: Wow, I seriously forgot about Claire's friend whose actor left the show (reportedly) because his manager didn't want him to be typecast as gay.

Thankfully that actor went on to become John Connor on TSSC, showing that leaving Heroes can actually help your career. Congratulations, Thomas Dekker.
