I just saw a land of the lost last night. Mcbride was totally awesome -I was surprised how much I liked him. Hope to see him doing other weird scifi crap soon.

    Uhh..."Hench" isn't a DC title, it's from AIT/PlanetLar.

@Constantine Koutsoutis: Hench was optioned by Warner Bros which owns DC Comics. McBride may be assuming some fluidity with characters rights.

McBride mentioned using DC villains for Hench at a press junket, it's not like it's going to happen.

Please dont mess with the hench story .. Leave it as it is .... it is a good story. adding DC characters will just make it to serious. and it needs to be campy

@tekjock: You haven't been watching Batman: The Brave and the Bold, have you? There are plenty of D-level campy villains available that haven't been in previous TV shows or movies.

There's probably a bunch of dumb ones in Superman's world too.

Haha, henchmen aren't people, they're walking meat targets for the superheros to beat on.

Kidding aside, I'm surprised this hasn't been done in a more serious fashion yet... barring the mention of "Sky High" above, you'd think that this would be fertile grounds for side character advancement. Especially since the "henchmen have feelings, too!" angle has been around for quite a while.

Hmmm who are more ineffectual: the monarchs henchmen or storm troopers?

Have to say storm troopers. When the monarch's guys got the drop on Brock they did actually beat him. Plus they have a Stanza.

Plus the Monarch's henchmen have cool weapons like mint condition Hulk Fists and lightsabers.

@OW-Holmes: The clone storm troopers pretty much killed all the Jedi and did a decent job of controlling the universe. Just because some accountant wanted to save some credits by buying defective blasters doesn't mean we should hold the poor troopers responsible for their lousy aim. Not to mention most of the time it was because of the incompetence of officers that really messed things up. Long live the Empire (as long as we keep Lucus way from the script).

@LittleDragon: I like the idea that the empire was foiled by penny pinching. The failure of the Empire did not come in military tactics but instead of a bloated bureaucracy developed to support weapons procurement.
