Another entry for horror week: a great white shark found bitten in half by another shark. It's the megalodon! Ok, no, it's an even bigger great white. Still...
I read over the last weekend. It wasn't bad and the author had some good narrative describing the tension and great emptiness of the settings well.
The gory as well was surprising considering this was a Star Wars book. Hearing about zombie wookies tearing a young one apart or what happened to the surviving crew of the Star Destroyer who found themselves marooned for ten weeks was pretty over the top. Definitely not in the same canon as Ewoks, IMHO.
I hear the author is in the process of writing a prequel to it already.
And piss off to the naysayers....there is always room for zombies. #starwars
Oh damn. I thought I was going to make myself avoid this now I'm going to have to read it in secret, so the rest of the people on my course don't completely lose faith in me... #starwars
@twophrasebark: Mind tricks? Probably not. Choke? Probably not. Lightning? Possibly. Dislodging something heavy over them? As long as the gravity field holds. #starwars
I can't hide behind my sofa. It's a well-known fact in my house that there are giant people-eating monsters from the 37th dimension living behind my sofa.
In fact, my entire house is an interdimensional highway restaurant of sorts for traveling interdimensional people-eating monsters.
From under my bed come the diminutive but deadly monsters from the 17th dimensional crack in the fabric of space-time.
My bedroom closet is one of the 31 known entries to the cave where the last resident of the 51th dimension lives. He destroyed his entire universe by eating everything in it.
And so on. My house is full of such surprises. Of course, the only reason I'm still alive is that I cut a deal with them all. I bring guests to my house and, in exchange, I live.
Now, I know none of you will believe me. Wanna come and see for yourself? I assure you that it's a one-way trip you'll never forget. Or survive, for that matter.
I must be one of the few people who didn't like the Shining. Was never impressed with it. The winner will be Bela's Dracula, Boris's Mummy, or LCJ's Wolfman, because they are my favorites. #horror

If a zombie has a stormtrooper mask on, how is it supposed to bite you?
Least scary zombies ever. #starwars

@rootyb: Exhibit A
Though I would like to know why they couldn't just seal their helmets. #starwars

As long as Curse of the Demon gets some proper io9 respect, I will be pleased.
If not, then I suggest you don't accept any random slips of paper in the near future. #horror
